How to light your kitchen & island
Start with size and hanging height, then choose a shape and finish that suits the room.
How many pendants go over a kitchen island?
Use two pendants for islands up to about 6 ft and three for longer islands, or a single linear chandelier about two-thirds of the island's length.
How high should island lights hang?
Leave 30–36" between the counter and the bottom of the pendant.
How far apart should island pendants be?
Space them about 24–30" apart and keep at least 6" from each end of the island.
Which voltage do your lights use?
All our lights work on 110–260V, so they suit homes in the US, Europe, Israel and most other countries.
Can I return a light?
Yes – 30-day returns – see our return policy.
The kitchen island needs light that is practical and beautiful at once. Choose a row of glass or metal pendants, or one linear chandelier that runs the length of the island.
Filter by shape, size and features such as dimmable or LED to find the right fit for your kitchen.
Not sure which size or finish fits your space? Our team can help over live chat – send us a photo of your room and ceiling height.
